Meet Our Staff
Dr. Glenn Altman, Optometric Physician
Dr. Altman is native to Florida and a resident of the Sarasota area since 1996. He attended the University of South Florida for his Bachelors in biology and earned a Doctorate from The Southern College of Optometry. After practicing for two years in west Texas, he came back to his roots to practice full time here in Sarasota, Florida. Dr. Altman has been practicing at his current Sarasota location for 14 plus years. Dr. Altman is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Florida Optometric Association. He has been active in many local clubs and has served as the past president of the Manasota Optometric Society. His interests are hunting, football, and sports cars. He is an active member of the Manatee Gun and Archery Club.
Danielle Stewart
Office Manager
ABO/NCLE Certified Optician
Danielle is originally from Georgia, but has spent most of life here in Florida. She is married to a Lieutenant Firefighter and they have 2 children. She has been in the optical field for over 25 years. Danielle has worked with Dr. Altman at University Eye Care since 1998. She is certified with the American Board of Opticians and the National Contact Lens Society of America. She hopes to have the opportunity to gain many more in the years to come and continue her work in the optical field.
Kelsey Blanton

Frame Stylist | Billing Coordinator
Kelsey was born and raised here in Sarasota, Florida. She graduated the University of South Florida with a Bachelors in Hospitality Management. In her spare time she enjoys camping with her husband and going to ATV quad racing events. She has been working at University Eye Care since 2010 as the Billing Coordinator and Contact Lens technician. Kelsey received her ABO certification in May of 2016 and is currently studying for her NCLE certification. She loves working with patients and looks forward to advancing in the optical field.
Lona Lee

Lona was born and raised in Hong Kong. She moved to the US through an exchange student program in 2000, and graduated with an Associates Degree in Interior Design. She lives with her family, 2 cats, and 2 bunnies. Lona enjoys shopping, gardening, and having a weekend full of family events and activities. She loves working with her UEC coworkers, and helping patients.
Hallie McCausland

Hallie was born and raised in Port Charlotte, Florida. In 2015, Hallie joined the University Eye Care team. Hallie studied at The State College of Florida and earned her Associates degree in Business Management. She enjoys painting, soccer, and going to the movies. She enjoys learning about the eye care field, expanding her knowledge in medical billing, and working with patients.
Tracy Vann
ABO/NCLE Certified Optician
Licensed Optician State of Ohio
Tracy was born and raised in Glouster, Ohio but moved to Bradenton, FL in 2019. She graduated from Hocking College in 2005 with an Associates Degree in Opticianry. She is also certified with the American Board of Opticians and the National Contact Lens Society of America. She enjoys spending her spare time with her husband, 2 daughters, and grandson. Tracy loves working with patients to help them find the perfect look.

Nicki is a third generation Floridian, born in Sarasota. She graduated from The University of Tampa, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and Art. She currently enjoys spending time with her family and husband. She also dedicates time to a Non-Profit Organization called B.U.B.B.A. She has work for University Eye Care since 2012 as a Visual Field & Patient Technician. She loves working with patients and is looking forward to expanding her knowledge in the optical field.

In 2015, Christina joined the University Eye Care team as a Billing Coordinator, Visual Field, and Contact Lens Technician She resides with her fiance and their two dogs. She enjoys going to the beach, working out and traveling. She loves working with patients and expanding her knowledge in the eye care field.
