Meet Our Staff
Dr. Glenn Altman, Optometrist
Dr. Altman is native to Florida and a resident of the Sarasota area since 1996. He attended the University of South Florida for his Bachelors in biology and earned a Doctorate from The Southern College of Optometry. After practicing for two years in west Texas, he came back to his roots to practice full time here in Sarasota, Florida. Dr. Altman has been practicing at his current Sarasota location for 14 plus years. Dr. Altman is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Florida Optometric Association. He has been active in many local clubs and has served as the past president of the Manasota Optometric Society. His interests are hunting, football, and sports cars. He is an active member of the Manatee Gun and Archery Club.

Danielle Is originally from Georgia but has been in Florida since 1984. She has 2 children who were born here, real native Floridians!
She has been in the Optical Industry for over 30 years & brings a wealth of knowledge. She has worked with Dr. Altman since 1998. She is certified with the American Board of Opticians & The National Contact Lens Society
Kelsey Blanton

Assistant
Kelsey was born and raised here in Sarasota, Florida. She graduated the University of South Florida with a Bachelors in Hospitality Management. In her spare time she enjoys camping with her husband and going to ATV quad racing events. She has been working at University Eye Care since 2010 as the Billing Coordinator and Contact Lens technician. Kelsey received her ABO certification in May of 2016 and is currently studying for her NCLE certification. She loves working with patients and looks forward to advancing in the optical field.

Courtney was born and raised in Manatee county. She and her husband enjoy spending time by the pool with their children and their grandchildren. Her previous experience in patient care has made her an asset to the UEC team. Courtney works as one of the Billing Coordinators and Contact Lens technicians. She enjoys learning about the eye care field, expanding her knowledge in medical billing, and working with patients.
